- Prince (Dr.) Peter Erameh is from the ERAMEH ROYAL FAMILY of Anegbette in Etsako – Central Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria.
- He began his primary education at Imiava Primary School in his home village of Anegbette as an orphan and later completed his primary education at Lumley Primary School in Benin City in the Year 1976.
- He later proceeded to the famous Auchi Teachers’ Training College for his secondary education following the launch of the Universal Primary Education (UPE) in the country in the Year 1977. After the conclusion of the Teachers’ Grade 2 certificate examination in the Year 1982, He took up a teaching appointment at Ekosodin Primary School in the same year where he taught for 10 years.
- In the quest for higher education, he took time to study for the General Certificate of Education Examination as a private candidate and wrote the examination and passed all the subjects at credit level. Thereafter he took the Joint Admission and Matriculation Examination and got admitted to the University of Benin in the Year 1987 and graduated with a second class upper division in Business Administration in the Year 1991. While at the university, he won two awards as the best 100 Level student in the department – Scholar award of #500.00 and the International Telex and Telecommunication Company Limited (ITT) award for 3 years with a monetary reward of #9,300.00 anchored by the Late Chief M. K. O. Abiola.
- In pursuit for further education, he proceeded to read his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Benin in the Year 1997 and graduated in the Year 1998 and also went further to graduate in M.Sc. in Economics in the same university in the Year 2012.
- In the Year 2015, he wrote the Retail Banking Academy UK examination and passed and was thereafter awarded the RBA certificate. He became a Fellow of the Chartered Economists of Nigeria in the Year 2015. Subsequently, he got his Professional Fellowship Doctorate of the Chartered Economists of Nigeria award in the Year 2015.
- Prince Peter Erameh started his banking career in September 1992 with the defunct International Bank for West Africa which later became Afribank Nigeria Plc as a Credit Trainee. The bank is now known as Polaris Bank Nigeria Limited. He left Afribank Nigeria Plc in August 2001 as the Regional Credit Manager supervising 22 branches in the Benin Area office covering the Midwest Zone for Diamond Bank Plc as Credit Risk Analyst but was later redeployed into credit and marketing department due to his crave for customers’ satisfaction.
- He worked in Diamond Bank Plc from September 2001 to October 2006 as an Assistant Manager in various capacities in Benin City branch, Balogun Market and Adeola Hopewell branches in Lagos.
- He later joined Ecobank Nigeria Limited as a Deputy Manager in November 2006 and rose to the rank of a Senior Manager in the Year 2012. He worked in various capacities in Ecobank Nigeria Limited - as Zonal Head of Retail Assets and Small & Medium Enterprise unit in Edo-Delta Zone; Area Manager; Cluster Business Head and Regional Business Head of South-South Zone comprising of six states – Edo, Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross Rivers and Akwa-Ibom states before retiring in the Year 2018 from the Financial Institution.
- He won several awards during his banking career – Afribank Nigeria Plc Award of Excellence for the Best Staff for Spread Sheet Analysis Course in September 1996 and Award of Excellence for the Best Staff in Loan Management and Debt Recovery Course in September 1996. Also, Ecobank Nigeria Limited Award for Excellence for the DEAL OF THE YEAR, South-South/South-East for Year 2014 and Award for Excellence for the BEST AREA MANAGER, South-South/South-East for Year 2014.
- While in the Banking Industry, Prince Peter Erameh did not fail to take advantage of all in-house and external training opportunities provided by the various banks where he had worked and left his footprints.
- Prince Peter Erameh is the current Chairman, Board of Trustees of Peter Inu Erameh (JNR) Foundation which he established in the Year 2006 to cater for the Orphans, Widows and the Less Privileged in the Society irrespective of their religious beliefs and languages. As at today and to the Glory of God, he has been able to touch the lives of over 20 indigent students by way of providing scholarships for tuition and books for them in good Catholic Schools.
- Prince Peter Erameh is a devoted Christian of the Catholic faith. He is a Grand Commander of the Agape Intelligence Marshals, a Member of the Benin City Catholic Archdiocesan Finance Commission and a Member of the Investment Committee. He is also the Secretary and a member of the Finance Committee of St. Paul Catholic Church in Benin City. He is a Patron to Our Mother of Perpetual Help Society, the LECTORS and the Catholic Men Organization at St. Paul Catholic Church in Benin City. He was also the Treasurer of the Benin City Archdiocesan Catholic Men Organisation for 6years and later became the Auditor of the same Organisation for another 6 years amongst others.
- Prince Peter Erameh is a member of the Benin Club, and at his leisure, he plays basketball and table tennis.

- He is married to a lovely wife, Princess (Mrs.) Florence Ovonemor Erameh and the marriage is blessed with children – Prince Peter Inu Erameh, Prince Michael Oshiomokhai Erameh and Prince Gabriel Aseoghena Erameh.
